TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We may, from time to time, use cookies, log files, web beacons, scripts, tags and other tracking technologies to collect, use and store Information about you or relating to you. This section describes how we use such tracking technologies.

Tracking technologies enable us to better understand and provide Mobvoi to you – for example, tracking technologies help us collect the following information:

We require your authentication information in order to provide Mobvoi to you;

our mapping and location-based services (such as "Weather" and "Fitness") may require information about your location;

Our translation services may require information about your language preferences;

We require certain other information about our users in order to provide Mobvoi and to develop new features for Mobvoi .

What are tracking technologies?

The "tracking technologies" that we use within Mobvoi include the following:

A cookie is a small file containing a string of characters that is placed on your computer, mobile phone or other device when you access a website or other web content.

Web beacons are electronic image files or other technologies that may be embedded within websites or emails that may be used to keep count of visitors, record when and if an email or website is viewed, or access certain cookies.

Certain information is automatically gathered and stored in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.

How do we use tracking technologies?

Tracking technologies used in partnership with third parties

We, our affiliate companies and our third party partners may from time to time use tracking technologies to collect and use certain Information. These third party partners who assist us in such collection and use include the following:

Our analytics partners helps us better understand Mobvoi generally – for example, to collect website and app usage statistics and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole, as well as to analyse any relevant trends.

Our customer support service partners help us deliver better responses to any queries from you and to deliver a better Mobvoi experience to our users.

Our service partners help us administer and deliver certain features within Mobvoi – for instance, hosting, language translation and mapping services.

We may receive reports based on the use of tracking technologies by these partners on an individual as well as aggregated basis.

Our own tracking technologies

In addition, we also use our own tracking technologies to personalise your experience on Mobvoi and for various other purposes, including:

remembering your identity. For example, cookies and web beacons can help us identify you as a registered user of our services or keep the preferences or information that you have previously provided;

analysing how you use our services. We can use tracking technologies to understand what users are doing on our services, or which pages or sections are most popular.

Please note that we use our tracking technologies for these purposes, but may make certain aggregated Non-Personal Information obtained through these tracking technologies available to other partners to analyse how you and others use our services.

Other tracking technologies

We also use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"), on our Apps. Google Analytics uses cookies or other tracking technologies to help us analyze how users interact with and use the Apps, compile reports on the App's' activity, and provide other services related to Apps activity and usage. The technologies used by Google may collect information such as your IP address, time of visit, whether you are a return visitor, and any referring App. The Apps do not use Google Analytics to gather information that personally identifies you. The information generated by Google Analytics will be transmitted to and stored by Google and will be subject to Google's privacy policies. To learn more about Google's partner services and to learn how to opt out of tracking of analytics by Google click here.

We may partner with third party advertising companies to better provide advertisements about our goods and services that may be of interest to you. These third party advertisers may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use the Sites. They may collect information about your online activities over time and across different Apps and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based advertising or other targeted content. These online advertising partners do not have access to or use your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number or other personally identifiable information from us, without your consent. They may, however, use persistent identifiers to anonymously track your Internet usage across other Apps in their networks beyond these Sites. While we restrict their further use of such information, such third parties may, with sufficient data from other sources, be able to personally identify you, unknown to us.

Third-party ad serving companies and other unaffiliated advertisers also display advertisements on our site. As part of their service, they may place a separate cookie on your computer or utilize other data collection and tracking technologies, to collect information such as your IP address, browser type, the server your computer is logged onto, the area code and zip code associated with your server, and whether you responded to a particular advertisement. For a listing of the third party companies we may allow to place cookies to serve ads on the Sites, click here. We do not control these third parties' tracking technologies, how they may be used, or the information they may collect and we are not responsible for the privacy policies or the content of those third parties. Please visit the sites of those businesses at the links above to review their privacy policies. We may add or change the list of third party ad servers from time to time and we encourage you to check this section for changes. You can learn more about about online advertising at www.aboutads.info/consumers.

Many of the third party advertisers that place tracking tools on our Apps are members of programs that offer you additional choices regarding the collection and use of your information. You can learn more about the options available to limit these third parties' collection and use of your information by visiting the Apps for the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance, as well as the webpages for Facebook's ad preferences tool and privacy policy.

Similarly, you can learn about your options to opt-out of mobile app tracking by certain advertising networks through your device settings. For more information about how to change these settings for Apple, Android or Windows devices, see:

Please note that opting-out of advertising networks services does not mean that you will not receive advertising while using our Apps or on other Apps, nor will it prevent the receipt of interest-based advertising from third parties that do not participate in these programs. It will, however, exclude you from interest-based advertising conducted through participating networks, as provided by their policies and choice mechanisms.

Your browser or device may include "Do Not Track" functionality. Because a "Do Not Track" compliance protocol has not yet been finalized, Mobvoi's information collection and disclosure practices, and the choices that we provide to customers, will continue to operate as described in this privacy policy, whether or not a Do Not Track signal is received.

General terms in relation to tracking technologies

It is important to note that third party tracking technologies are subject to the relevant third party's own privacy policies and not our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for any tracking technologies used by third parties.

We may combine Information collected via tracking technologies with other Information we collect about you. How you can control tracking technologies

You may be able to block or manage certain types of tracking technologies via your browser settings (such as cookies or web beacons) or your mobile device. However, please remember that if you block tracking technologies, we may not be able to provide you with the optimal Mobvoi experience and some or all of Mobvoi features may not function properly.

You may also control what tracking technologies-collected Information we receive by certain settings within Mobvoi.
